Murthy has gone incurably insane

Yes, it is true. Murthy’s insanity is not just episodic. He is now permanently and incurably insane. If you think Murthy was already insane, you are not completely correct. He was only partially insane. His parents, especially mother and all siblings, and most friends, knew that he was becoming insane day by day, year by year and decade by decade.


Now his insanity is up to the brim. He dreams inventions. His brain is a paradigm change mode even while dreaming.


Murthy now believes that his Human-like Processor (HLP) paradigm is capable of cloning every human, animal, objects and all simple and complex processors of nature, not just on earth, and all extraterrestrial part of the universe.


Is there enough silica, purified sand, on the earth to accomplish his insane ideas? He does not know. He does not care!
Should Murthy be admitted to a nut house? You should not even try such a thing. Why? Please don’t torture the nut house doctors. His thinking paradigm is Kaleidoscope brainstorming. In his novel paradigm of brainstorming, multiple brainstorming participants develop multiple reflections of other participants. During the Kaleidoscope brainstorming, made up of a series of sessions, the participants progressively replicate in their brain and thinking modes the thinking personalities of other participants in the session. This is similar to a Kaleidoscope which creates a beautiful pattern from only two or few pieces, each piece seemingly having no complicated pattern. Murthy’s brain alone behaves like multiple participants, as if his brain is made up of an array of virtual machine (VM) processors. Is it all implemented in semiconductors? Probably not all of the functions could be implemented. He thinks he will figure out as it is needed in time.


What is his glorious idea?
You need to first understand that Murthy does not have a single idea. He has a chain reaction of ideas as in a nuclear chain reaction. The ideas give birth to more ideas, in an exponential and accelerated growth rate. His ideas are not the run of the mill ideas that you mere mortals get! He loves and breathes paradigm shifts. His heart beats in a paradigm of very complicated rhythms, multiple beats at this same time in synchronicity. Murthy has created a paradigm in music called Rhythmic Diversity.


The Human-like Processor (HLP) paradigm can be adapted to animals also. In this paradigm, human and animal personalities are replicated or cloned in HLPs and a network of HLPs. The degree of replication may vary, based on the application needs and environments. The degree of replication is chosen, and in terms of the specific components and modules of the HLPs and the network of HLPs. With the first set of components and modules configured, additional components and modules could be added or augmented, based on the need, downloaded from a cloud. Alternatively, particular components and modules could be exchanged between the different HLPs in the network. How well these functions could be accomplished depends on the different personality quotients of the participating HLPs. Examples out of an exhaustive thinking and personalities characteristics with associated quotients are teaching and learning quotients, while degree of compatibility between them also plays a significant part.


Another important mode of infusing and inducing the components and modules into the HLPs, and also a network of HLPs is initiated by humans, in place of from other HLPs. In the human to HLP interaction and interface, the HLPs utilize the audio, video and other communication modes. The request may come from an HLP or a HLP network to a human or a group of humans, when the human “teaches” and the HLPs “learn”, in natural and native way of the human, instead of the computing legacy programming paradigm. The teacher and the learner (student) may verify and validate the knowledge transfer at intermediate and progressive stages. At the end, the human may certify the participating HLPs and even give a learning quotient rating. Reciprocally, the certification and rating process could by from the HLPs to the humans participating. As a result, the central auditing modules in the cloud, acting as the central brain of the different processes may initiate self improvement regiment to both humans and HLPs.


Examples of the teacher – learner events would be between a human driver and an automobile, between a pilot and a UAV or drone, a manufacturing machine and an operator - trainer, military trainer and the military HLP. In general, the teacher – learner and also the participating teams of HLPS and humans would be in everyday activities in our life, or HLPs life, in all industry verticals, market verticals, businesses, including education, government, military, home and public life, on the earth and underground, on the ocean and submarines, rivers and dams, sky and aerospace.


At home, one of the family member or more in numbers would be HLPs along with parents, grandparents, sons, daughters and babies. In schools, colleges and universities, HLPs will be one among the students, teachers, professors and staff. At work, libraries, policing, parks, roads, skies and waters, HLPs would play hand-in-hand with humans.


The way schools and colleges serve the educational needs of the citizen, and future citizens, HLP academies may serve the educational needs of the HLPs.


Expect courts would have attorneys and judges along with HLPs capable of performing with equal or better expertise. Expect HLP lobbyists, and also HLPs sitting in the congressional and senate activities. Expect HLPs in all levels of CIA and other spy cells and organizations, homeland security, national and international organizations like the United Nations, WHO, USAID and UNESCO.


If you think that the HLPs will not be in religious institutions, not in churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and monasteries, congratulations to your limited imagination! HLPs could be better in religious conversions than the best missionaries. HLPs will make its way into the Vatican, the Mecca, and Dalai Lama’s monastery. HLPs will join the chorus in the churches and Royal Philharmonic symphonies swinging and swaying with the singers, instrumentalists and also the conductor. HLPs will also enjoy sitting in the spectator’s galleries and boxes.

I will be describing the different personality and thinking modules in HLP in this blog document. I will also discuss the metrics of measurement of the efficacy of the modules. I will be discussing the correlation factors between the different modules and the quotients, which refers to the correlation benefit between the different modules. For example, a think module or a personality module may have a natural correlation with another personality or thinking module. An intelligent thinker may also have associated creativity thinking ability. Higher the quotient in one thinking or personality may correlate to a higher level of quotient in another quotient. Another example is of emotional thinker module may also have an associated correlation in the artistic thinking and personality, which correlation reflects in the correlation of quotients. To be able to correlate, we need to breakdown the different thinking and personality characteristics and modules into its constituent components. The common and relatable components and their weights and scores could be used for correlation formula and calculations. The components need to be tested using a test framework and routine to measure and derive the component level metrics that are further aggregated to obtain the personality and thinking module level quotients. We also need to establish quality, reliability and compliance standards framework.

Robust development, growth and adaptation in the developer and user community require many talented and committed team members. This is most efficient in an open source framework. The thinker and personality modules will be developed in English first followed by other leading languages of the world, further followed by aggressive development in all international languages.

I am looking contributors to this growing knowledge and product definition in the first phase, followed by component and module development. The products need to be tested for reliability, quality, compliance, interoperability and robustness. Most of the work and contribution will be done by remote teams. We will also organize and conduct caucuses virtually in beginning. I also want to form regional and functional chapters that meet as needed in working meetings, caucuses, training, symposia and workshops.

We need experts not only in components, modules, systems and networks, and also experts in different science, technology, development, testing, metrics, reliability, quality and compliance. We need physicians and healthcare professionals to apply the HLP concepts to the medical, pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare. We need building architects. We need semiconductor industry experts. We need nanotechnology and MEMs experts. We need experts in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, accounting, finance, business, marketing, public relations, retail, wholesale, airline, aerospace, defense, data processing, big data, IoT, smart buildings, human resources and organizational design. This list is exhaustive and all inclusive of all industries, markets and vocations. I envision that we will together create a new world in which legacy computers, legacy computing devices and equipment, human-like equivalents to all legacy computers working together and coexisting in the future decades and centuries, one step at a time in adoption.

This paradigm is based on two or more independent similar or dissimilar processors with human-like processing paradigm. The foundation of this processing paradigm is based on processors and processor processes with emotive genetics, or in other words processors which “think” like humans with emotion, not simply current processors / computing machines in the deterministic paradigm with an ergonomic interface particularly customized for human computer interaction.

What makes humans, and also animals, unique in nature is that they are all not alike. They don’t think and act alike. They do not, in general, think and act predictably, or at least perfectly predictably. In other words, humans and animals do not think deterministically, where as the very computing machines invented and created by the humans operate in a predictable and deterministic paradigm. While predictable and deterministic computing machines have proven to be very utilitarian and have changed the life of humans enormously unburdening the humans from laborious and repeatable tasks, it is also desirable to invent and produce processing systems in large numbers, some operating solo, while others operate in groups and networked. The novel paradigm would be based on the foundation and infrastructure of systems and network of systems that “think” and operate with a Human-like “personality”. The processors, systems and network of systems may have multiple personalities, diverse personalities and changing personalities varying in time and circumstances, which particular set of aspects makes this paradigm unique and distinct from the current computing machines in the deterministic paradigm. The diversity of the personality of the systems could also be configured, modified and made adaptive to circumstances. This ability of the systems to be morphed based on the requirements to serve the purposes, circumstances and tasks at hand, adaptively or on external command or by tuning enhance the diversity.

Additional paradigm as an overlay would be to empower or endow the systems with creativity, not just the already existing artificial intelligence and expert systems as an adjunct to the legacy computing machines and computing environment, but more fundamentally creative personalities infused and implemented at one or more layers of the hardware, software and firmware. This would be at the “DNA” / “genetics” core of the devices, subsystems, systems and network of systems, The creative systems paradigm at the native level makes the difference in problem solving not only in a reductionist paradigm and also in intuitive or “out of the box” modality; the “out of the box” term is a pun in this sentence and context, with the “system in a box” intuitively thinking, creating and synthesizing as if the “box” produces more than the sum of parts in the system.

The systems embedded with creative and emotive qualities and personalities could be participating in technically, artistically and spiritually creativity activities like brainstorming. Further, these systems and network of systems could participate along with humans as peers in brainstorming sessions. These systems could have learning features interacting and interfacing with humans, at a peer level. Reciprocally, humans may learn from these creative systems in knowledge and more importantly in the very creativity domain.

The emotional processing paradigm or emotion centric paradigm is the type of processing that uses or employs information and data processing paradigm akin to humans or animals, instead of the current computing paradigm that is deterministic in all its components, parts, steps, inputs and outputs and all interfaces with machines and humans.

The current computing paradigm uses and leverages on hardware, software and firmware made up of electronic components, devices, physics of the devices, subsystems and even complex systems that have deterministic and repeatable properties. The same input, a set of inputs, a series or sequence of inputs into the components, devices and systems results in outputs in a predictable and repeatable manner. The current binary computing or processing paradigm has only two states, even though in a sequence of binary states, with the different interconnected electronic devices, individually or operated together. These are termed as 0 and 1 or the electronic device as ON or OFF.

The intentions of developing such binary state based devices, complex systems of these binary devices has been extremely successful propelling the humans to the current modernity filled computers, laptops, mobile phones, internet of everything, servers, data centers, storage networks and storage complexes, cloud computing, machine learning, robots and manufacturing infrastructures, rockets and spacecrafts, airplanes, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and the worldwide internet. The credit goes to the root of deterministic computing paradigm.

It is very interesting to realize that this entire deterministic computing paradigm is the idea, creativity and continued achievements of the humans, who do not naturally and natively think like the computing machines at all. Humans are emotional beings, not really computing beings. The emotional beings have invented and developed the computing beings or computing machines.

It is also interesting that the humans in the recent decades have been interested in creating machines and robots that think like humans, behave like humans, and interact between them and with humans like humans. Along this path ideas and implementations in ‘artificial intelligence’, ‘expert systems’, ‘machine learning’ ‘neural networks’ and ‘cybernetics’ have been pursued by scholars and researches. The basic intention is to make computing machines interact with humans and the operating environment almost like humans. The intention is to make the deterministic paradigm coexist with emotion driven paradigm. In the “veins” of electronic circuits that make up the machines, the currents and voltages in the electronic devices repeatedly behave the exact way deterministically every time same functions are performed. The humans, and also animals, operate in a totally different paradigm, in body, mind and also the “heart”. Here the word “heart” not only refers to the heart as a body part that pumps and regulates the blood flow, but has the emotional, poetic and spiritual connotation. Please specifically note that I am a total and ultimate agnostic in the world, yet have invoked the context of spiritual aspect of the humans, with the primary intention of communicating with the general reader and scholar.

With this prologue, let me jump into the fundamentals of emotional processing paradigm. I will introduce words, terms, concepts, definitions, vocabulary, the syntax, the semantics, and semiotics and in that process also introduce the taxonomical concepts that I require to pontificate, profess, explain and develop a treatise on emotional processing paradigm. I will also develop the holistic corpus of the field of emotional processing paradigm that is a mutually complementing paradigm between hardware, software, firmware and what I call as “emotion ware” and also “emote-ware”.
My idea and intention is not at all to create new electronic devices and components, any new hardware or software, in the first phase of implementation. Leveraging on the current worldwide base of electronics systems, hardware, software and firmware, I am developing a layer of emote-ware. This emote-ware will transform the computing machine or a group of connected and networked machines into one that performs and exploits in all the functionalities in the emotional paradigm. The emote-ware sits on top of the machines operating in the deterministic computing paradigm. It is important to note that this approach is beyond simplistic approaches currently used by adding a human machine interface or computer human interface (CHI) only in the ergonomics sense.

My emotional paradigm will be incorporated and implemented in stages. First stage is to leverage existing infrastructure to add a top layer over it. The interface between the two will map and translate between the two paradigms in both directions. Emote-ware will be implemented in a novel emote language; with its distinctive emote syntax, commands and the full suite of command and execution library.  The result will be for the current infrastructure based on deterministic computing paradigm to behave in thinking and processing with the properties of humans, and also different animals in the later stages of implementations.

Humans are adaptive to situations. Humans are creative, leveraging on emotional intelligence. Even though current computing machines and network or complex of machines perform many tasks, more prominently as high speed work horses, dependent on exhaustive processing, not needing any rest or break.  Humans have created these machines, more as slaves. This is very important for most repeated and especially ‘machine like thinking’ and executing functions, unburdening the humans from laborious and boring tasks. The class of systems with emotive traits would be ideal as partners with humans in creative endeavors. The emotional intelligence that humans, and also animals, are blessed or endowed is what my paradigm will be trying to emulate. My vision applies to individual emotive systems, local network of such systems and also large network clusters spanning a wide area network. My vision based on the emotive systems and especially realized in very large clusters could become think tanks and R&D laboratories. The application domains and verticals would not simply in science, technology and engineering, and also in literature, creative arts, music, media, social services, social engineering, politics, policies and even in governance of corporations, cities, states and nations.

From implantation and paradigm realization dimensions, my vision includes trickle down approaches from the emote-ware starting from sitting on top of current hardware, software and firmware down one implementation layer at a time down to the hardware layer. We have all understood from the quantum mechanical behavior at the subatomic level that determinism as seen at micro and macro levels we as humans are used to in all our experiences is a paradigm seen by us with the quantum and probabilistic world always happening at subatomic levels. My audacity is creating a novel paradigm of systems capable of creativity in its core, as much and similar to humans, and also animals, endowed with emotional intelligence, which is the core making all of us creative, innovative, explorative and inventive, with the innate ability to synthesize from parts.

Clarifications and distinctions from current computing paradigm

The Human-like Processor Paradigm (HLP Paradigm) is different and distinct from the current computing concepts, technology, R&D and product implementations. I will explain and clarify it in this blog document. My concepts and discussions of my novel paradigm can coexist and work adjunct and collaborate with current technology and products, in addition to also completely replace as needed.

Lot of great R&D, product developments and implementations in different applications has been in place. Human computer interface, human machine interface, ergonomics, and cybernetics in all of which the focus has been on the interface between the humans and the computing machines deployed in different applications and market verticals. For example, the computers and computing machines embedded in different applications understand different modes of communication, in addition to the keyboards and computer screens. The speech to text and text to speech technology lends the human – computer interface to be in human terms. Mobile phones, automobiles, laptops, robots, some manufacturing machines, homes, offices, manufacturing infrastructures are only few of the examples with very little to more of these embedded and implemented. In addition to these in the audio dimension, there have also been some implementations in the vision dimensions, even though far fewer relatively. In the vision dimension, human face and gesture recognition are only examples of implementations in the computer to understand, recognize and communicate with humans. Some of these implementations have been in perimeter, building and asset security, airborne vehicles like airplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, automobiles and robots.

We all know that these audio and vision based implementations enabled are not used much by the humans, mainly because the humans are not comfortable by the ergonomics and the efficacy of the available options. These implementations are only at the human – computer interface levels. However, none of the computing machines are human-like in the core of the machine, with the computers and computing machines natively operating in the deterministic computing paradigm. Imitating the humans only at the interface level is only a step far from human-like thinking in the core.
